A raised simulated wood deck surrounds the large adobe and quartzite barbecue, counter & bar and outdoor fireplace. New landscaping flows throughout the project tying new tree and plant materials into the native plantings. Night lighting throughout the backyard with color changing fixtures in the pool and spa create a beautiful nighttime ambience. The challenges of a 100’ foot slope at close proximity to the pool and spa and soil conditions were over shadowed by the result which is simply spectacular! Tropical Paradise: These Carlsbad homeowners wanted to create a water retreat with an array of special features for fun loving kids and adults alike. The challenge of function, safety, and aesthetics were all considered with the placement of every feature. The 54’ long x 25’ wide pool boasts a 35’ long water slide, 10 jumping rocks from 18” to 7’ tall surrounding a cave and grotto with lighting and music, 2 cascading waterfalls, 2 Baja ledges with a swim up bar and stools and a large lounger boulder with umbrella stand. | Zero Edge with a View: Perched high atop the hills of Carlsbad, these homeowners envisioned a pool paradise that would be an extension of their residence and lifestyle. The pool and spa is built on top of a bluff overlooking the coast and valley below which serves as a perfect backdrop for the vanishing edge pool. Small but Inviting: These young professional San Clemente homeowners were told by many pool and spa builders that their narrow 18'-20' deep yard would only accommodate a spa, made sense. Not when Dream Pools was asked to meet at the home. After discussing their lifestyles it was obvious that a pool would complete their dream yard. The result is a tropical retreat with a freeform spa and 10'x 16' cool pool with Baja ledge. Surrounded by a simulated rock water feature carved into meandering waterfalls ending with a 4' tall waterfall into the spa. The spa has a small grotto with a rushing waterfall to create a private hideaway and the waterfalls are controlled with variable speed pumps for soothing to roaring sound effects.
